Sean Stewart is the Interim Director of the Center for Research and Evaluation at Kaiser Permanente Georgia. Sean, a member of the Georgia market’s health plan executive leadership team, has been our Regional Compliance Officer since 2018. In this role, he partners closely with Health Plan and The Southeast Permanente Medical Group leaders to promote an ethical culture and ensure appropriate human protections in research. With Kaiser Permanente for 15 years, Sean previously lived in Southern California and engaged closely with National Pharmacy. He also led care delivery-related reviews across the program, bringing together teams with diverse skillsets. Prior to joining KP, Sean’s diverse experience included federal grant financial management in a major international humanitarian relief and development organization.
Sean earned his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degrees in Accounting from the University of North Texas. He is a licensed CPA. He couples his business and auditing skills with an innate curiosity, and loves opportunities to lean in and immerse himself with departments outside his traditional comfort zone!
